Last weekend was so beautifully sunny it's making me so excited for wedding season to kick off. Here are some useful and pretty things from the web this week.
Practical tips for saving money
Who doesn't want to save money on their wedding? Here are some practical tips for saving money on your wedding with these "15 Money-Saving Tricks from Real Brides" from Bridal Guide. Don't worry, it's not all about doing it DIY! http://www.bridalguide.com/blogs/real-brides-speak-out/wedding-budget-tips
Awesome trends for 2014
Want That Wedding have brought two awesome trends for this year to my attention, these are sequins and bridal coverups.

I'm so taken by the trend of sequins at the moment, they're a fabulous way to add some sparkle and glamour to your day. The example on "4 amazing wedding prop trends for 2014" talks about table cloths, but there are so many more ways. Obviously sequin dresses look stunning. What better way to turn yourself into a A lister for the day? Other options are sequin accessories which ties perfectly into the next trend which is bridal coverups. There's some lovely inspiration here with "chick spring/summer cover ups", lots of vintage inspired pretties, great for weddings in the cooler months, or for outdoor weddings going on into the evening.
The cracks between the photos.
Have a read of this lovely article in Oh Comely magazine, "I Never Want to Forget the Moments Between the Photographs." The article talks about the authors feelings on his sisters wedding. From my point of view I love this as it talks about the moments I'm trying to capture, the unique little things that happen to make that wedding different, and the feelings that all the friends and family feel on the day.
This last item isn't strictly wedding related but has certainly caught my eye. Check out these stunning clutch bags! In complete contrast to saving money on the wedding, why not splash out on one of these as an awesome - and sensible alternative to carrying a bouquet.
Also it was great news for same-sex couples, as they were able to sign up to be legally married in a few weeks. Hoping to hear about lots of fabulous same sex weddings soon!
